Regional Multi-Modal Mobility Program
RM3P Digest – Winter 2025
The Regional Multi-Modal Mobility Program (RM3P) continues to make significant progress in its mission to improve travel in Northern Virginia (NoVA). The program, which is supported by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA), the Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), and the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) has achieved new milestones in the development of its four program elements: the Data-Exchange Platform (DEP), Artificial Intelligence-Based Decision Support System (AI-DSS), Commuter Parking Information Services(CPIS), and Dynamic Incentivization (DI).
This winter edition of the RM3P Digest highlights several key updates. You’ll find details on the full launch of the DI GoMyWayVA™ app, which uses Dynamic Incentives to encourage and reward smarter travel decisions, along with commentary from partners involved in the app development. Additionally, an update on the next phase of the CPIS proof-of-concept, which is focused on refining the approach to provide valuable commuter parking insights. This newsletter also outlines RM3P’s ongoing sustainability planning, including the transition of program element management to permanent stewards, a brief summary of RM3P’s first formal evaluation report, and a recap of the RM3P team’s participation in recent conferences.
