The Regional Multi-Modal Mobility Program (RM3P) is making impressive strides to advance the much-awaited development of its program elements – Data-Exchange Platform (DEP), Artificial Intelligence-Based Decision Support System (AI-DSS), Commuter Parking Information System (CPIS), and Dynamic Incentivization (DI) – and is excited to have awarded all scheduled contracts after an extended procurement process. This edition of the e-Digest focuses on DI, one of the public-facing elements of RM3P, which entered the development stage this past spring following contract award to Metropia, Inc. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), in partnership with the Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), oversees the development of this program element. The new project has already produced multiple updates for the general public and stakeholders, including the recently launched DI webpage and final branding of DI’s mobile app, GoMyWayVA, which will officially launch in Fall 2025. DI, through its app, will focus on incentivizing Northern Virginia drivers willing to change their travel plans to contribute to a more efficient transportation network. The articles that follow provide background on DI, highlight current and upcoming initiatives that are part of this program element, and offer insights from DI project leaders. We are also pleased to acknowledge recent industry events involving RM3P presentations and recognition.
Sincerely,
